Quennie and Zach’s wedding day at Saybrook Point Resort & Marina in Old Saybrook, Connecticut was the most beautiful start to our 2026 wedding season. Their day was dreamy, peaceful, joy-filled, and full of quiet sweetness. It was the kind of wedding that felt truly unforgettable.

A Joy-Filled Start to the Wedding Day

From the very beginning, Quennie was such a joy to work with. She trusted me throughout the entire planning process. She even let me weigh in on getting ready locations and photo timing.

That kind of trust is always such a gift. It helps the day flow in a much more natural way. Quennie and Zach were both so laid back, kind, and present with everyone around them.

Their whole day had such a calm and peaceful feeling. Because of that, every part of the wedding felt natural, meaningful, and full of joy.

A Meaningful Ceremony at St. Margaret Church in Madison CT

Their wedding ceremony took place at St. Margaret Church in Madison, Connecticut. It was such a beautiful and meaningful setting for the beginning of their marriage. The ceremony carried a peaceful sense of faith, family, and reverence.

Zach’s brother had recently been ordained into the Catholic Church. He was ordained just in time for the wedding, which made the day feel even more meaningful.

It was touching to witness two brothers step into lifelong sacraments so close together. One was entering marriage. The other had given his life in service to the Church. It was a quiet but beautiful reminder of love, vocation, and God’s work within a family.

After the ceremony, everyone made their way to Saybrook Point Resort & Marina in Old Saybrook. The weather kept us on our toes all day. It was one of those thunderstormy spring days with a very unpredictable forecast.

We had no idea when the rain would come. We also did not know how heavy it would be or how long it would last. But we trusted that God would give us the window we needed for outdoor portraits.

I am so grateful that He did. The storm passed within about ten minutes. Afterward, we had the most beautiful light and the peaceful marina backdrop. It made their portraits feel so romantic.

A Saybrook Point Resort & Marina Wedding Reception

Saybrook Point Resort & Marina was the perfect setting for their wedding reception. The venue sits right on the Connecticut shoreline. It has such a dreamy coastal feel, with marina views, soft waterfront light, and classic New England charm.

It was also the first wedding of the season at the venue. You could feel the excitement from Katie and the whole team. They were so happy to be back in wedding season.

They were also incredibly hospitable to us as vendors. They made us feel welcomed, cared for, and important throughout the day.

A Peaceful and Elegant Connecticut Shoreline Wedding

Quennie and Zach’s day was elegant without feeling overly formal. It was emotional without feeling heavy. Most of all, it was full of genuine love from beginning to end.

From the getting ready moments to their church ceremony at St. Margaret Church, everything came together so gracefully. The short break in the rain gave us such beautiful outdoor photos by the marina.
