Erica Britto

photography

I’m so drawn to weddings because to me, they mark the beginning to one of life’s most meaningful adventures. My hope is to give you images you that you treasure more and more as the years go by, this is why you'll notice that I put a lot of emphasis on people over “things” in my images. I offer what I myself would want and so far the Golden Rule has been the perfect recipe for creating a personal bond with my clients that never feels like a transaction. It's mutual - just as it should be in any other type of relationship.

My dream clients are people like me, that care more about their wedding photos than most other details of the day. I realize that loving photography this much makes choosing the right photographer no easy task. For that reason I'm going to open up and be transparent about what my business routines are and what the whole process of working with us is like.

I'm excited to answer some questions for you below, but if I miss anything please reach out and let me know what's on your mind.

Most couples spend around $2600 on wedding day coverage. Digital images are always included. Fill out the contact form and I'll be in touch with my pricing and more information!

Thank you for reaching out.
I'll respond soon!

My shooting style is modern with a touch of tradition. I aim to capture true and natural emotions and do so by directing you through a series of movements. A classic photo looking into the camera is important but nobody wants to look stiff and awkward in their photos so I tend to mix them camera aware shots without there being a huge focus on it. Post production editing is where the photos take on a very specific style that is my own.  I would describe this editing style as bright, clean, vibrant, and natural. Trends aren't so trendy down the line so my goal is to give you photos that will age well and never go out of style.

What is my shooting style?

1-3 days after the wedding I'll send you a short preview of your photos. The photos I choose to send you right away are most likely to be bride and groom portraits and/or photos from the ceremony. After this I'll start working on your photos that way I can have them ready for you within 3-6 weeks depending on the season we're in. You'll receive an email with a link to your gallery as soon as they're ready and your USB will arrive in the mail shortly after. Engagement photos take me 2 weeks or less to get back to you and are delivered only via online gallery.

How do we receive our images?

All dates are first come - first serve, however I will place a tentative hold on your date for a week following your initial inquiry. This means that if we're in the middle of a conversation or days away from meeting, I will let you know that someone else has inquired about your date. This doesn't happen often, but when it does, I'd rather be upfront then have to tell you someone booked while you were taking the weekend to review everything with your fiance.

What if another bride wants to book our wedding date?

Do you offer a second shooter?

Yes! My second shooter Michael is kind of like my secret-sauce. We've photographed so many weddings together that we have an almost telepathic way of communicating. He knows exactly where to be to get a different perspective without interfering or distracting me from my own goals. His strength are my weaknesses. For example - if I need to round up a group of 30 people for a family or bridal party photo - he's got the voice to make posing everyone a fast and easy situation. He's also a fantastic photographer on his own and does great work independently. If for some reason Michael is sick or unavailable I will hire someone with admirable work and a great attitude.

I average about 100 images per hour when working alone and 200 per hour when working with a second shooter. I am a VERY thorough photographer and not very strict about what makes the cut. There may be several "duplicate" photos where the difference is only minor but I leave it up to my clients to choose which version they prefer. To get a good feel for what I mean and what to expect in terms of quality please visit my gallery to see a full wedding example.

How many photos can we expect to receive?

Yes! Some venues require insurance and others don't. Proof of insurance is written out to each venue individually so if your venue asks for proof please let me know so I can submit a request for that document before the wedding date.

Are you insured?

I keep backups on hand at every wedding because you never know what could happen and I'm not okay with taking any risks on a wedding day. In addition to back up equipment my cameras are also set up so that every time I take a photo, that photo gets copied to two different memory cards at the same time. If something were to happen to one of those memory cards, I'll already have a backup. I protect these memory cards on the day of and immediately back the photos up to an external hard drive the minute I get home no matter what.

What if something happens to your equipment?

Are there any restrictions on what we can do with our photos?

Nope! The only thing I ask is that if you plan to use your photos for commercial use that you credit "Erica Britto Photography".

Your photos will be stored on my online gallery for at least a year. Sometimes I share these galleries with people who inquire that are having a similar style wedding. If you'd prefer to keep the full gallery private and password protected I am happy to honor that, however, it is important to me that I am able to share some of my favorite images from the wedding/session on my website, blog, instagram, pinterest, facebook or wedding wire account.

Erica was a great find for our wedding photography! She is professional and talented. Her and Mike (her second shooter) were really fun to work with and made us feel very comfortable during our first looks and portrait photos. They were able to capture so many great candids and somehow were just there whenever we wanted a posed photo. They came early and scouted the locations we were considering for portraits and recommended the perfect spot. We could not be happier with our photos and highly recommend working with Erica!

Erica and Mike captured our day so beautifully! It was so exciting to look through all the photos when we received them and find that they had captured each detail (even if we hadn’t specifically asked for it). If you’re considering hiring Erica, don’t hesitate!

We absolutely loved having Erica and Mike for our wedding! From our first meeting at a coffee shop, they were warm, welcoming, and professional. We chose a package which included an engagement shoot and they were flexible on the timing and location, not to mention the pictures turned out GORGEOUS. Leading up to our wedding day, Erica was extremely responsive and helpful. On the day, both she and Mike were timely, enthusiastic, and made us feel so comfortable. The pictures turned out natural looking and beautiful - just what we wanted!

I am so happy we chose Erica for our engagement shoot and wedding photos! The pictures are beautiful and I love her bright, crisp style. I am thrilled with how they came out and have already gotten so many compliments! Erica and Mike were both so great to work with, too. They were friendly, fun, and made us comfortable the entire time. I sincerely recommend Erica Britto photography!
