Mackenzie and Dave’s wedding day was a celebration of intentionality, joy, and love. From the picturesque setting of the Goodwin Hotel in Hartford to the stunning backdrop of Saint Clements Castle’s Waterford Ballroom, every detail was meticulously planned to reflect their unique personalities and style.
Inspired by the color scheme and theme of their late summer engagement session, Mackenzie and Dave infused their wedding decor with warmth and vibrancy. Their love for each other was evident in every moment captured on camera.
One of the most remarkable aspects of photographing Mackenzie and Dave’s wedding was their genuine enthusiasm for being in front of the camera. Their natural chemistry and willingness to embrace the moment made my job as a photographer a breeze.
Despite the warm summer weather, Mackenzie and Dave took intentional breaks to recharge, indulging in snack breaks with apple sauce packets—a small but delightful touch that added sweetness to their day.
The wedding party mirrored the couple’s laid-back vibe, contributing to the relaxed and joyful atmosphere. From capturing candid moments to orchestrating formal portraits, every photograph felt effortless and authentic.
The first look at Bushnell Park was a deeply emotional moment, as Mackenzie and Dave exchanged rings and heartfelt vows in a private setting. Despite a sudden downpour, the couple’s spirits remained undampened, turning an unexpected twist into an exciting memory.
Moving the ceremony indoors to the Art Room at Saint Clements Castle only added to the charm and intimacy of the occasion. As Mackenzie and Dave said their “I dos,” surrounded by family and friends, the love in the room was evident.
The reception was a lively affair, with Mackenzie’s infectious energy lighting up the dance floor. From the grand entrance to their captivating first dance, every moment was filled with laughter, love, and celebration.
As I reflect on Mackenzie and Dave’s wedding day, I am filled with gratitude for being a part of such a beautiful celebration. Their love story is a testament to the power of intentionality and the joy that comes from embracing every moment together.
