Sophie and Eli’s Mount Hope Farm wedding in Bristol, Rhode Island was peaceful, joyful, and deeply connected to the beauty of the place.
Since they live out of state, Mount Hope Farm became a destination wedding location for them. Sophie is originally from the area, so the location felt even more meaningful.
With perfect weather, meaningful traditions, and beautiful coastal Rhode Island scenery, it was such a special day to photograph.
Sophie got ready at her parents’ house before heading to The Inn at Mount Hope Farm. That is where she shared her first look with Eli. Afterward, we took portraits around the property.
One thing I loved about their timeline was the space they built into it. They set aside about two hours for photos before the ceremony, which made such a difference.
Instead of rushing, we were able to take our time. As a result, we could enjoy the beautiful grounds and create portraits that felt calm, natural, and connected.
Their first look was relaxed and sweet. In addition, The Inn at Mount Hope Farm gave us the perfect backdrop. It had historic charm, open green space, and peaceful Bristol, RI scenery.
Their dog Murphy also came along for part of the day, which made everything even sweeter. He fit right in with Sophie and Eli’s laid-back, nature-loving energy.
Sophie and Eli’s ceremony at Mount Hope Farm was beautiful and full of meaning.
Their Jewish traditions were woven throughout the day in such a thoughtful way. First, they signed their ketubah at Cove Cabin. Later, their ceremony included moments under their families’ prayer shawls, with part of the ceremony spoken in Hebrew.
Overall, it felt deeply meaningful without ever feeling overly formal. It was a beautiful honoring of faith, family, and tradition.
Then, once the glass was broken, the celebration officially began.
One thing that makes Mount Hope Farm so special is the variety of scenery on the property. You have the historic inn, open farm landscapes, peaceful walking paths, and Cove Cabin.
Cove Cabin also brings in that beautiful waterfront feeling. It overlooks Mount Hope Bay, with views toward the Mount Hope Bridge. That bridge is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Bristol.
Together, these details give the venue such a unique mix of rustic, coastal, natural, and elegant.
For couples looking at Bristol, Rhode Island wedding venues, Mount Hope Farm has a feeling all its own. It is close to other beloved waterfront venues like Blithewold Mansion, Gardens & Arboretum.
However, Mount Hope Farm has a more relaxed farm-and-coast atmosphere. It still feels elevated for a wedding day, but it does not feel overly formal.
I also have to give a big shoutout to Em Devaud, the planner for this wedding.
She was wonderful to work with and helped the whole day stay on track. At the same time, everything still felt relaxed and personal.
Between the first look, portraits, Murphy, Cove Cabin moments, family traditions, and reception timeline, there were a lot of moving pieces. Thankfully, Em handled everything with so much calm and care.
As a photographer, that kind of support makes such a difference. Because of her thoughtful planning, Sophie and Eli were able to enjoy their day without everything feeling rushed or chaotic.
The reception was such a party.
Take It To The Bridge kept the night moving with incredible energy. Once the Hora started, Sophie and Eli were lifted up in the chairs. Meanwhile, everyone gathered around them on the dance floor.
Sophie and Eli are such a sweet, chill, nature-loving couple. Their wedding reflected that perfectly.
The whole day was meaningful without feeling heavy. It was also beautiful without feeling stiff. Most importantly, it was fun without losing the depth of what the day meant.
Truly, it was such a spectacular day at Mount Hope Farm in Bristol, Rhode Island.
Sophie and Eli, thank you so much for having us there to photograph it. Your wedding was such a joy.
