Mackenzie and Dave’s Saint Clements Castle wedding was such a joyful summer celebration. Their day took place on July 21, 2023, with getting ready photos at The Goodwin Hotel in Hartford, a first look at Bushnell Park, and their reception in the Waterford Ballroom at Saint Clements Castle.
From beginning to end, the day felt intentional, personal, and full of love.
The day began at The Goodwin Hotel in Hartford, Connecticut. It was such a beautiful and stylish place for getting ready photos.
The hotel gave the morning a classic city feel before everyone headed to Bushnell Park. It also set the tone for a wedding day that felt thoughtful, relaxed, and full of personality.
Mackenzie and Dave shared their first look at Bushnell Park. It was such an emotional and meaningful part of the day.
During their private time together, they exchanged rings and heartfelt vows. Because of that, their first look felt even more personal.
Then, a sudden downpour came through. However, Mackenzie and Dave handled it with so much joy. Instead of letting the rain ruin the moment, they turned it into a fun and unforgettable memory.
Mackenzie and Dave’s Saint Clements Castle wedding was filled with intentional details. Their wedding decor was inspired by the colors and feeling of their late summer engagement session.
As a result, everything felt warm, vibrant, and connected to their story. Their personalities came through in such a natural way.
Even during the warm summer weather, they took little breaks to recharge. Their apple sauce packet snack breaks were such a small but sweet detail. It was one of those little moments that made the day feel so them.
One of the best parts of the day was how comfortable Mackenzie and Dave were in front of the camera. They were so excited for photos, which made my job incredibly easy.
Their natural chemistry came through in every image. In addition, their wedding party had the same relaxed and joyful energy.
Because everyone was so easygoing, portraits felt effortless and fun. From candid moments to more formal photos, everything felt authentic.
After the rain, the ceremony was moved indoors to the Art Room at Saint Clements Castle. Thankfully, the space added so much charm and intimacy to the day.
Mackenzie and Dave said their vows surrounded by family and friends. The room felt full of love, and the moment was so meaningful.
Even though the ceremony plans changed, everything still came together beautifully.
The celebration continued in the Waterford Ballroom at Saint Clements Castle. The reception was lively, joyful, and full of energy.
Mackenzie brought so much life to the dance floor. From the grand entrance to their first dance, every part of the evening felt full of laughter and love.
As the night went on, the whole room felt completely wrapped up in celebration.
Mackenzie and Dave’s wedding day was such a beautiful reminder of the joy that comes from being fully present. Even with unexpected rain, they embraced the day with so much grace and happiness.
It was such an honor to photograph their Saint Clements Castle wedding. Mackenzie and Dave, thank you for trusting me to capture such a meaningful and joy-filled day.
