Ashley and James had a beautiful Old Saybrook Point Resort wedding on September 22, 2023. Their day took place at Saybrook Point Hotel and Spa in Old Saybrook, Connecticut.

With the marina as their backdrop, the whole day felt peaceful, elegant, and full of love. Overall, it was the perfect coastal Connecticut setting for such a meaningful wedding day.

A First Look by the Marina

We began the day with a beautiful first look at the marina. As soon as Ashley and James saw each other, the moment felt so emotional.

The soft light and gentle breeze made everything feel even more romantic. Because of that, it was such a sweet way to begin the day.

Wedding Portraits at Tall Tales

After the first look, we crossed the street to Tall Tales for portraits. The historic inn gave us such a lovely backdrop.

Between the classic architecture, gardens, and coastal charm, everything felt timeless. In addition, Ashley and James were full of joy. Their love came through so naturally in every photo.

An Outdoor Ceremony Overlooking the Marina

Their ceremony took place outdoors, overlooking the marina. The setting was peaceful, romantic, and so fitting for an Old Saybrook wedding.

Thankfully, the weather was beautiful, even with a gentle breeze. As the sun started to soften, the whole ceremony had such a warm and golden feeling.

Ashley’s bouquet was such a beautiful part of the day. Lagana Florist created a stunning design with delicate orchids.

The flowers added such an elegant touch to her bridal look. They also paired beautifully with the soft coastal feeling of the day.

Lexi from Larissa Lake and Co. did such a beautiful job with Ashley’s makeup. Her look felt polished, natural, and timeless.

At the same time, it enhanced Ashley’s features while still letting her natural beauty shine. She looked absolutely radiant.

Capturing the Day with Photo and Video

We also had the chance to work alongside Andrew Rose, who filmed the day. It is always so special when couples have both photo and video to remember their wedding.

Together, these memories allow Ashley and James to relive the day for years to come.

A Love Story Full of Meaning

Ashley and James have such a sweet and meaningful love story. They met during a very tender season, the same week Ashley lost her father.

Even through that pain, their bond grew stronger. Because of that, their love has so much depth. You could feel that throughout the wedding day.

They are both so sweet, down to earth, and easy to be around. Together, they have such a beautiful and peaceful connection.
