On September 22, 2023, amidst the serene coastal charm of Old Saybrook, CT, Ashley and James embarked on their journey into forever at the Saybrook Point Hotel and Spa. With the tranquil marina as their backdrop, their wedding day unfolded with grace, elegance, and an abundance of love.
We began the day with a breathtaking first look at the marina, capturing the raw emotions as Ashley and James laid eyes on each other for the first time. The soft lighting and gentle breeze added an ethereal quality to the moment, setting the tone for the day ahead.
Crossing the street to the historic inn, Tall Tales, provided the perfect setting for their intimate portraits. Surrounded by the timeless charm of the inn’s architecture and lush gardens, Ashley and James radiated with joy and anticipation, their love shining brightly in every frame.
The ceremony itself took place outdoors, overlooking the marina, bathed in the golden glow of the setting sun. Despite the gentle breeze, the weather remained perfect, adding to the romantic ambiance of the occasion.
Ashley’s bouquet, a stunning creation featuring delicate orchids, was a true work of art, courtesy of Lagana florist. Each bloom added a touch of elegance and beauty to her ensemble, complementing her radiant smile perfectly.
In the skilled hands of Lexi from Larissa Lake and Co., Ashley’s beauty was enhanced even further, her makeup flawlessly accentuating her natural features and inner glow.
Teaming up with Andrew Rose, the talented videographer, ensured that every moment of Ashley and James’ special day would be immortalized in both photographs and film, allowing them to relive the magic for years to come.
Ashley and James are a couple whose love story is as inspiring as it is heartwarming. Despite facing the loss of Ashley’s father in the same week they met, their bond only grew stronger, infusing their union with even greater depth and meaning. Their sweet and down-to-earth personalities perfectly complement each other, creating a harmony that is truly palpable.
As their photographer, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to document such a beautiful and meaningful event. Working with Ashley and James was an absolute pleasure, and I feel truly blessed to have been a part of their special day.
